Our mission
We seek to improve employees' well being by bridging the physical gaps between people, so that workspaces are safe spaces with empathetic cultures.

Our story

Going Remote
Like many others around the world, our team shifted to remote work during the pandemic. Maintaining existing workplace relationships while welcoming new teammates proved to be a challenge. We realised people were feeling disconnected and isolated when working remotely.

Feeling disconnected
With the lunchtime chit-chats and serendipitous conversations missing, interactions between people were compromised. Feelings of anxiety, loneliness and disengagement increased.

Creating a space to engage
We wanted to be part of the solution because we believe humans thrive when we feel connected with others. Meaningful engagement among teammates helps to create healthy workplace cultures. We designed TeamTalk to help people working remotely to connect with one another, and enable their organisations to flourish.
Who we are
The folks behind TeamTalk are passionate about problem-solving.
We are 55 Minutes, a user experience design studio made up of problem-solvers wearing different hats—UX researcher, product designer, UX UI designer, creative director, etc. What is the same though, is we all share a strong desire to create joyful solutions that people would find useful. How do we achieve that? By first understanding people’s social, emotional and functional needs.

Learn more about us from our company website, or read our stories from our blog.
We have a podcast and a sound personality quiz because we are interested in all kinds of user experiences, including audio ones.

These values guide our work

Humanising coworkers
See your coworkers as individuals, not just colleagues. Understand them beyond their job titles.

Safe Space
Let people feel it is ok to express themselves at work.

Creating moments of fun
Enjoyable conversations with each other build memorable experiences.
Behind our name
TeamTalk was initially just a working project name. It was something one of us came up with quickly because it’d be too troublesome to call our project “the one that helps people talk to each other”. Believe us when we say being the diligent and enthusiastic creatives that we are, we went through a thorough process of finding a perfect name for our platform. But after a long journey, we were humbled by this learning — some things are best kept simple. Let us help your team talk!
